Emergency & Trauma - Overview

The Department of Emergency and Trauma is the first point of contact for patients in need of emergency medical care. It provides immediate care to patients with life threatening, frequently complex medical and surgical illnesses.

Its’ a Level I Trauma Center with 14 bedded Acute Care facility. Well designed to enable Rapid Assessment, Triage and management of critical patients with State of Art equipment and infrastructure.
The Department has attached Operation Theatre and a procedure room. In addition, Blood Bank, Radiology Services and Medical ICU are situated within the complex to prevent any time loss and patient discomfort.

The Department is led by a qualified and trained Trauma Surgeon. Emergency Physicians and Nurses who follow International protocols such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Advanced Life Support (NALS) provide quality emergency care.

The Department is Equipped with Modern Advanced Life Support Ambulances which are well connected to the command centre in the department by mobile phones and GPRS system. These are staffed by qualified and trained paramedics for achieving quality patient care during transportation.
